Big News… We’re moving to Hawaii! :)

Well it’s official… my boyfriend and I are moving to Maui on Halloween Day! Less than 3 weeks away now!!  We are super excited to start this adventure together and cannot wait to see what the island has in store for us :)  I will be continuing my wedding photography business over there, so if you know of anyone getting married in Hawaii, please feel free to send them my way! ;) I will miss so many of my wonderful friends here in California, but I cannot wait for all of you to come and visit us!! :-D Aloha!

I most likely won’t get a chance to update my blog until I get settled over on Maui, so please browse my website or Facebook Fan Page for all of my new work, as I am constantly updating both of those sites on a regular basis.

San Clemente Family Session: Theresa, Amanda, + Connor

Theresa is one of my good friends here in San Clemente! She had been wanting to get some new family photos taken for awhile now, and with her daughter coming to town over break (her daughter goes to school in Texas!), we were finally able to set up her session :) We headed to San Clemente State Park for their session and found some awesome little spots for photos!

Road Trip to Utah via my iPhone photos

My boyfriend, Mikey, and I recently took a road trip to Utah! Mikey’s mom was getting re-married on August 11, 2012 in Salt Lake City, so Mikey and I took this opportunity to go on a fun little road trip :)

Megan + Shane: Newport Beach Country Club Wedding Photos in Newport Beach, CA

As I mentioned before when I blogged Megan and Shane’s Engagement Photos, Megan and Shane were referred to me by my amazing Aunt Marianne! :)  Shane was dead set on having my cousin, Morgan, be the Best Man at his wedding, but the only problem was that Morgan was living in South Africa at the time. Shane and Megan both decided that it was so important to have Morgan at their wedding that they decided to buy his plane ticket all the way from South Africa to Orange County so that he could be there on their big day! What a wonderful gift! :) Shane and Megan were amazing to work with, and I’m so glad I was able to be there to celebrate their marriage and see some of my relatives as well :)

Jimmy: Headshot Session in San Clemente, CA

My neighbor’s friend, Jimmy, needed a few new headshots taken so we took a few photos around my place before heading down to the San Clemente Pier to finish the session :)

Megan + Shane: Engagement Session Photos at Table Rock Beach in Laguna Beach, CA

I met Megan and Shane through my Aunt Marianne who referred this wonderful couple over to me! I couldn’t be more thrilled with how their engagement session turned out and I cannot wait to share their wedding photos with you! :)

Table Rock Beach in Laguna Beach is one of my favorite SoCal beaches to photograph at. Not only is the small secluded beach amazing, but it has awesome rocks and different structures to use for the photos, and also has cool stairs and plenty of greenery to use as a back drop as well… I love to have variety when it comes to my shooting locations and this is the perfect beach location for just that ;)

Tanya + Robert: Robert Community Center Wedding Photos in Livermore, CA

I photographed Tanya and Robert’s wedding over 2 years ago at the Robert Community Center in Livermore, CA. Tanya was referred to me by her friend Betsy, who was an event coordinator at Catered Too! during that time. Annie + Billy – Snow Engagement Session in Big Bear, CA

My very good friend, Annie, is getting married in Bend, Oregon over Labor Day weekend this September and I cannot be more excited for her big day!  Annie found a wonderful photographer located in Oregon who shot their engagement session and will be photographing their wedding as well… buuuut right before the time that Annie got engaged, I talked to her about wanting to do a snow engagement session for her and Billy… so we finally got the chance to!  We headed up to Big Bear in February, and roamed around a bit looking for some good spots to take photos of the two of them :)

Hello Again, Internet!

I apologize for my lack of my blog posts since 2010… I have been helping out a good friend of mine at her photography company since early 2010, so I have not been putting in as much time and effort into my own photography as I wish I could :) But that’s about to change!!

I am in the process of launching a new website and I will be posting a ton of new work on this blog soon as well… so stay tuned! I can’t wait to share it with all of you :-D

Victor Sizemore’s Mentor Shoot at WPPI in Las Vegas, NV!

Back in March, I traveled to Las Vegas for the annual WPPI convention! My former boss, Victor Sizemore, put together a mentor shoot out in the desert and there were probably about 50-75 attendees. It was a ton of fun but MAN WAS IT COLD! I posted some of my favorites below…

Fahm & Matt – Playa Del Carmen, Mexico!

Fahm and Matt got married on a gorgeous beach on a GORGEOUS day in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We really lucked out considering it had rained the day before!

Fahm and Matt got ready at the Porto Playa Condos in Playa Del Carmen, where we took a majority of their photos. We then headed into the downtown area to take some additional photos of just the two of them before heading down to the beach for the ceremony! :) Their reception took place at John Grays Place and let me tell you….the food was AMAZING!
