Be back home on the 18th! Looking forward to being cell phone free for a week :)

Last week I was in San Antonio, Texas to photograph the 2009 National Sales Meeting for Pepperidge Farm. My cousin, Jay, works for Pepperidge Farm and because he put in a good word for me, they decided to hire me as the photographer for the week long event! So a big thank you to Jay!! :) I am posting a lot of the photos from the Tuesday night Kickoff Event because those are the most fun :) But I also posted a few from the actual meetings and from the Merit Awards Dinner/Event. Enjoy!

They brought in a Longhorn!

…and had armadillo races!

The amazing group of people that I worked with for the week! you guys rock!! :)

Vice President of Sales, Mark Schreiber:

President of Pepperidge Farm, Pat Callaghan:

Paul Amorello was ready to get the party started a bit early! hahah:

Retired NBA Star, Bruce Bowen, stopped by as well:

….and I couldn’t be more excited!! hehe. I really hope the Sharks can kick some major butt this year and continue that on into post-season…no more choking in the playoffs, okay guys?! :) We have a new Captain this year, Rob Blake. I was honestly a bit surprised, but hopefully it’ll work out! Our previous Captain, Patrick Marleau, has already scored 3 goals in the first 2 games, so I’m enjoying that :) GO SHARKS!!
Also, I decided to join 2 fantasy hockey leagues this season, so I’ll keep you updated on my progress throughout the season :) It’s been a few years since I’ve played, so hopefully I’m not terrible!

Let me just start off by saying that Dave and Trisha are probably one of the most perfect clients for me – super sweet and HUGE San Jose Sharks fans?! Love it!! :) Dave and Trisha got married at The Corinthian Event Center in downtown San Jose. It was a perfect summer day so I’m glad we were able to make it outside for some photos (since their wedding took place indoors). A special thanks to Janel for being my second shooter and to Dima for referring Dave and Trisha to me! :)

…by the way, totally stealing this idea whenever I get married! haha. GO SHARKS!

This was another wedding that I second shot for Janel at Focus Photography …Thanks Janel!! :)
Loren and Sara got married at Loren’s parents’ house in Mission Viejo, CA. The ceremony and reception took place in their backyard and I thought it turned out so cute! I loved the colors of pink and green that they used in the decor/flowers…bright colors photograph so well! The whole day was overcast too which made for some amazing lighting for the photos!

Radz and Kelly are good friends of mine who are getting married in Virginia Beach, VA next month. They needed some engagement photos taken and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to photograph them! Congrats again you two!! :)
Radz works at Trefethen Family Vineyards in the heart of Napa Valley, so they thought it would be an ideal place to shoot their engagement photos…and I couldn’t agree more! :) After we finished their photos, they treated me to dinner/dessert at Brix in Napa Valley (between the towns of Yountville and Oakville). For dinner I had the prosciutto wrapped halibut, which was DELICIOUS, but my favorite part of the meal was definitely dessert. I got the brownies and I don’t even know how to describe them (I wish I had taken a photo of them!), but it was THE.BEST.DESSEST.EVER! So if you’re ever up in Napa and looking for a place to get some AMAZING dessert, please check out Brix! and get the brownies!! :) haha. Thank you again Radz and Kelly! You two ROCK!

A few weeks ago while I was down in southern California helping Janel shoot a wedding, I also assisted her at an engagement shoot in Corona! Marcus is a firefighter for the city of Corona, so Jacqueline wanted to incorporate that into their engagement photos…such a cute idea! The firefighters at the station drove the fire engine over to a nearby park so that we could get some fun shots with the truck, then we headed into the park for some more photos, and back to the fire station to finish up.

Mary and her family are from Pittsburgh (and are huge sports fans), so it was only fitting that the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Detroit Red Wings in Game 7 and went on to win the Stanley Cup on the day before her wedding :) What a wonderful start to her wedding day! :)
Mary and Treve got ready together at their house in San Jose and then we headed over to the nearby Santa Teresa County Park for their couple photos. Their bridal party was quite unique in that both Mary and Treve each had 3 sons from their previous marriage, so their 6 sons made up the entire bridal party! :) After shooting at the park, we made our way to the Santa Teresa Golf Course for the ceremony and reception. It was a gorgeous day and everything went so smoothly…I couldn’t have been more pleased with how the photos turned out! :)
A special Thank You to Janet for referring Mary and Treve to me and to Nellie of Studio G Photography for being my second shooter :)
Some favorites from the day:

I need to get myself one of these signs…but for the SHARKS :)

Love the shot below that Nellie captured! :)

A few weeks ago I second shot for my good friend and fellow photographer, Janel at Focus Photography. Melissa and Jon got married at The Sainte Claire in Downtown San Jose, and I think they did a great job picking their venue…it was gorgeous! While Janel was off taking photos of the girls and doing the detail shots, I headed down to the groom’s house where the guys were getting ready. The guys were a ton of fun and totally willing to ham it up for the camera, so that was awesome! haha. The girls were just as fun as the guys too…what a great bridal party! Melissa and Jon were so cute and a pleasure to work with…I love weddings!

seeing the bride for the first time:

Comic-Con was being held on the same weekend as their wedding, just across the street from their venue, so we didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to get a photo with Darth Vader…

love the bridesmaid’s dresses!!

if you want to see some other photos from the wedding, check out Janel’s blog post from the wedding day!
When I’m not taking photos, I work as a part-time nanny for an AMAZING family in Willow Glen…I have been working for them since January of this year and I couldn’t be happier! It just so happens that they are huge San Jose Sharks fans and Trevor, their dad, graduated college from CSU Long Beach…so pretty much this family is the perfect fit for me :)
A few weeks ago I had to take Cooper to his t-ball game, so I decided to bring my camera along that day so I could get some shots of him in action…along with some shots of his younger brother, Malloy, out in their backyard.
Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Malloy loooves Superman and the color blue!

Cooper is the one sitting down :)

Susan and Ken got married a couple weeks ago at Villa Sobre Vista in Sonoma, CA. The location was beautiful but unfortunately it was raining most of the day! Because of the rain, we had to do most of the shooting indoors, but the rained stopped shortly after the ceremony so we were finally able to get outside for some shots! :) I would like to thank my friend’s mother, Mary Jo, for referring me to this wonderful couple.
Here are some of my favorites from the day….

love the shots that Janel took of the rings! :)

the night ended with a dance off competition to the song “Thriller”!

My friend, Jenn, is also graduating from San Jose State next month and needed some graduation photos as well! We decided to change things up a bit and head over to Santana Row (in San Jose) for the shoot. My friend Justine suggested that I do an engagement shoot there, but I haven’t had the opportunity to yet so I thought we would just try some portraits there for now! There are SO many fun/unique places to shoot at Santana Row…I wish we could have explored more, but unfortunately we were kicked out before that could happen. I guess Santana Row requires you to have a permit to photograph there, so I’ll have to keep that in mind for next time…
Anyways, here are some of my favorites from the mini-session!
